Greg Hardy Offers Explanations For His Actions Between The Rounds!

We’ve seen a different performance from Greg Hardy last night (Friday, October 18, 2019) in Boston. This time, he was patient, his jab was constantly keeping Ben Sosoli on distance, and his low kicks were very precise. Hardy scored a unanimous decision win.

Yet, troubles don’t leave Hardy’s side. Greg Hardy said he asked the commissioner whether he had the right to take the asthma inhaler.

Greg Hardy claimed it was USADA approved. But despite the commissioner allowed it, the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission had no mercy. Rules were broken, and Hardy’s win was overturned to no contest.

The Mess

Per @MarcRatnerUFC the commission never approved the use of the inhaler. An inspector said it was OK and he didn’t have the authority to do so. Fight officially a no-contest

Re Hardy’s inhaler per @JeffNovitzkyUFC: Inhaler likely contained Albuterol or Salbutamol. Those drugs are allowed at all times, not to exceed 800 micrograms per 12 hours (each puff is around 90 micrograms). Per @danawhite Mass commission approved use of inhaler

And now take a look at the controversial video. Greg Hardy made a mistake.

Greg Hardy’s Statement

Greg Hardy says he is sad because the result is overturned.

“(I’m) super sad,” Hardy told reporters, including MMA Junkie, post-fight at UFC on ESPN 6. “It’s a ventolin albuterol inhaler for exercise-induced asthma. I used it my whole life. I sign the commission paperwork when I weighed in. It’s on the USADA paperwork when I take every single drug test so that y’all know that I’m not taking steroids. I’m just naturally a monster.”

Hardy trying is his best to make things better and let USADA aware of his use of inhaler however commission came in the way.

The worst part is, here I am letting people down again,” Hardy said. “It’s a sucky feeling.

Dana White is totally unhappy with how this whole situation played out and put blame on Hardy’s corner.

“I think if you watch it you can understand how it happened,” White said. “But he asked the guy, and the guy said, ‘Is it medically approved?’ And he said, ‘It’s USADA approved.’ Because he put it down on his sheet that he was using an inhaler, and they knew he used an inhaler. So it’s crazy.
“I don’t even know what to say. First of all: Din Thomas … come on, Din. You’ve been in this game forever. His corner, they’ve got to know you can’t use an inhaler in the corner. They should know that. Shouldn’t even be a question. You can drink water. It’s pretty simple. Gatorade in some states.”

What are your thoughts on Greg Hardy’s actions? It seems troubles don’t leave him behind… Don’t forget he was disqualified in his first UFC bout due to an illegal blow!
