Greg Hardy Set His Sights On Stipe Miocic & Derrick Lewis Showdowns

After a failed UFC debut against Allen Crowder disgraced former NFL player Greg Hardy proved everyone wrong by picking up his first Octagon win this past weekend after defeating Dmitrii Smoliakov at the UFC Ft. Lauderdale.

After achieving his victory, Hardy shared his longterm goal of locking horns with Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis. Greg also said he’s still learning and working hard to elevate his level and silences those who think he doesn’t belong in MMA and throw shade at him. (h/t MMAMania)

“They’re not in my mind, they’re in my sights,” Hardy told TMZ. “They’re locked in. With all due time. I want to earn this, for one. So that these loudmouths that run their mouth talking about ‘Oh, Greg doesn’t deserve like blah, blah, blah.’ Yeah, I do. Because I earned it. I worked my way up to here.”

After proving his worth by capturing 3-0 at Dana White’s Tuesday night series Hardy got his first UFC fight but the debut went wrong.

“I’m not ready,” Hardy cautioned. “It’s like throwing a cub in there with some lions, man. It just doesn’t make sense. So when I go there, when I do fight these guys, hopefully, soon enough when I do elevate and graduate, it’s gonna be Goliath vs. Goliath. A war to be witnessed and loved and cherished forever and on through time.”

As for fighting with Derrick Lewis and Stipe Miocic, Hardy needs few more wins to reach up a level to meet them. However, Lewis no#5 seems a reasonable target, but it’ll be a while as ‘The Black Beast’ is currently on the sideline due to injury. Former UFC champ Miocic is rank No#1 with 21-3 MMA record, for that Hardy needs to work his ass off to reach the top.
