Greg Hardy had the size advantage at FNC 31, but his latest MMA return ended with Darko Stosic putting him away in Round 3.

Stosic knocked out Hardy on May 30, 2026, at Belgrade Arena in Belgrade, Serbia. Hardy entered after missing the heavyweight limit by more than 25 pounds, weighing in at 292.3 pounds, and carried a reported 52-pound edge over Stosic on fight night.

The finish came at 2:42 of Round 3. Stosic attacked the lead leg, then came over the top with a right hand that dropped Hardy hard. He added a hammer fist before the referee stepped in.

Stosic Turns Hardy’s Weight Miss Into A Knockout Loss

Hardy moved to MMA after his NFL career and reached the UFC quickly after wins on Dana White’s Contender Series. He won three UFC fights, but his run ended with three straight stoppage losses against Marcin Tybura, Tai Tuivasa, and Serghei Spivac before his 2022 release. Since then, Hardy has spent time in boxing, bare-knuckle boxing, and smaller MMA bookings, including a previous boxing knockout loss.

Stosic brought more proven MMA depth into this matchup. The Serbian heavyweight is a former Final Fight Championship heavyweight champion, a KSW veteran, and a former UFC light heavyweight. His UFC run ended after losses to Devin Clark, Kennedy Nzechukwu, and Jamahal Hill, but he rebuilt at heavyweight and has remained dangerous outside the UFC.

The win gives Stosic a second straight victory and moves him to 23-8. Hardy falls to 8-6 overall and 1-1 in MMA since leaving the UFC. Hardy also has a Peak Fighting bout listed for July 18 in Texas, though a knockout loss this clean could put that turnaround in the hands of medical clearance.
