UFC Fort Lauderdale Poster Displays Former NFL Player Greg Hardy To Co-Headline The Event

UFC on ESPN 3 is set to go down at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida on April 27. The official poster shows that the main headliner features an intriguing middleweight bout between Yoel Romero and Ronaldo Souza. Meanwhile, the co-main features a former controversial NFL star turned mixed martial artist Greg Hardy who’ll be looking for his first UFC win when he clashes against Dmitrii Smoliakov.

Here’s an official poster:

Even ESPN’s website shows Hardy at co-main event slot.

Hardy (3-1), the former controversial NFL player made his UFC debut back in January at UFC Brooklyn where he lost the bout via disqualification (DQ) after he landed an illegal knee on Allen Crowder’s head while he was down in the second round.

Greg’s NFL career came to an end after being convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Many people criticized the decision of Dana White for signing him however UFC head honcho shut down that criticism saying ‘he’s paid his dues.’

Smolyakov (8-2), meanwhile has dropped his past two fights and is 0-2 in UFC. He last fought back in 2017.

Souza and Romero first clashed at UFC 194 back in 2015 where Romero scored a split-decision win.

Do you think UFC made the right decision to put Hardy on co-main event slot?
