Unfortunately For Gokhan Saki, Mark Hunt Faces Justin Willis At UFC Adelaide

Despite Mark Hunt Was Willing To Fight Gokhan Saki, His Opponent At UFC Fight Night 142 Will Be Justin Willis

Gokhan Saki was very disappointed and upset after his UFC 226 KO loss to Khalil Rountree Jr on July 6, 2018. He needed an opponent who was also rebounding back from the defeat. The Rebel was also thinking about moving to UFC Heavyweight division.

While Saki competed in K-1, he was defeating some of the best names in Heavyweight class. So The Rebel decided to call Mark Hunt on Twitter. Mark Hunt was also a K-1 superstar, so this could be the match of two legendary strikers.

Saki vs Hunt in Heavyweight. Stand and bang?! How do you guys feel about that?

As well as you know, The Super Samoan has always been in a great mood for a showdown. He accepted Saki’s call. Take a look at Mark Hunt’s comment below.

Unfortunately, their showdown won’t happen. Mark Hunt will cross his gloves versus Justin Willis at UFC Adelaide instead. Their match is booked for December 2, 2018, inside Adelaide Entertainment Centre in South Australia.

Mark Hunt (13-13-1, 1 NC MMA, 8-7-1, 1 NC UFC) has the score of 1-2 in the last three fights. He defeated Derrick Lewis at UFC Fight Night 110 on June 11, 2017, via TKO. Curtis Blaydes defeated him at UFC 221 on February 11, 2018, via unanimous decision. Hunt was surprisingly submitted in the first round via rear-naked choke by Aleksei Oleinik at UFC Fight Night 136 on September 15, 2018.

Justin Willis (7-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) is on a hot streak. He is undefeated since June 2, 2012. Willis defeated James Mulheron at UFC Fight Night 113 on July 16, 2017. In his next fight, he won Allen Crowder at UFC 218 on December 2, 2017.  At UFC Fight Night 128, on April 21, 2018, Willis defeated Chase Sherman via unanimous decision.

UFC Fight Night 142 will be headlined by the showdown between Tai Tuivasa and Junior dos Santos. Would you like to see Mark Hunt Vs Gokhan Saki in the future? It might actually happen sometimes. Don’t forget Mark Hunt stated he is tired of treating like sh*t in UFC. He also mentioned he plans to continue competing in Japan after his UFC contract expires.
