Gilbert Melendez opened up a fissure of blood on Diego Sanchez’s head at UFC 166

It may be pretty politically incorrect, but @Spencifer sort of killed it with his tweet regarding tonight’s UFC 166 brawl between Diego Sanchez and Gilbert Melendez.

What an absolutely satisfying display of violence between Gil and Diego. Granted, it was pretty one-sided until Diego Sanchez legitimately dropped Melendez in the third round after Greg Jackson insisted that he needed to KO Gilbert in order to win the fight. It was Diego’s best strike in the fight and it landed perfectly — however we can’t overlook the fact that Gilbert systematically picked apart Diego, including manifesting such a large gash over Diego’s left eye that you can see the meaning of life within it.

Massive props to Gilbert Melendez on his impressive win and check out these two .gifs of the blood spewed from Diego Sanchez complements of Zprophet.
