Gervonta Davis finds himself in trouble with the law once again

Davis began his professional boxing career at age 18 back in 2013. He immediately showed that he was talented and continued to win. Now, almost ten years later, he has compiled a record of 27-0. He has his next bout set to take place in January as he takes on Héctor García as the headliner of a PBC on Showtime PPV event in Washington DC. There is no word at this time if this arrest will affect that bout.

This is not the first time Davis has been in trouble before. According to the reports he has charges against him stemming from a hit-and-run incident in November 2020.

“Davis is accused of fleeing the scene of an accident that involved four people, including a pregnant woman,” the ESPN article reads. “He is facing 14 charges, including failure to immediately return and remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury. He also is facing a civil suit.”

In addition to these, he has been charged with domestic violence in the past and faced two misdemeanor battery charges involving his former girlfriend.

Davis has been growing in popularity over the past few years and has even been called out by the UFC’s Sean O’Malley for a fight.

Davis is scheduled to appear in court for this most recent charge in a hearing on Wednesday morning.
