Germaine De Randamie Vs Raquel Pennington Slated For UFC Denver

Germaine De Randamie Returns As A Bantamweight Competitor!

Germaine de Randamie returns in the UFC after more than a year. She will face a boxer – Raquel Pennington. It’s going to be one hell of a stand-up showdown! The two are scheduled for UFC Denver at Pepsi Center on November 10th. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the main card.

Germaine de Randamie (7-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) defeated Holly Holm at UFC 208 and won UFC Featherweight title. She was later stripped since she denied fighting Cris Cyborg. Germaine intended to move Bantamweight division anyway. De Randamie was slated to fight Marion Reneau in September 2017 but her hand issues forced her to pull out. Her fight versus Ketlin Vieira at UFC Fight Night 125 was also called off due to the same reason.

Raquel Pennington (9-6 MMA, 6-3 UFC) needs something to regain her self-confidence. She was defeated in Bantamweight title match at the main event of UFC 224 to Amanda Nunes via fifth-round TKO. Raquel said she was done before the final round, but later claimed her corner made a good decision by forcing her to continue. Raquel has notable victories over Miesha Tate, Bethe Correia, and Jessica Andrade.
