Genghis Con gives up some behind the scenes dish about Jorge Masvidal and Miami Hustle

If you haven’t checked out the Miami Hustle series by MMA videographer extraordinaire Genghis Con then I suggest you click on over to GenghisConFilms.com and use the webisodes (and reading MiddleEasy) as your attempt to appear busy at work for the next two hours or so. This will really make the last few dragging hours of your Friday workday zoom right on by, I promise.

For those of you that have seen the series and have been wanting to know when we will get more Miami Hustle, Genghis Con has told Jonathan Shrager over at Bleacher Report that thanks to some new sponsorships the next season of the show will be coming very soon. GC also gave some insight into the personalities and behind the scenes dish about the guys from SMSP (South Miami Sports Performance) that star in the show. Here are a few random tidbits about Jorge Masvidal you might not have known:

“Jorge Masvidal could be a comedian. Everything that guy says is funny. And he doesn’t even have to try to be funny. I don’t think he’s intentionally trying to make you laugh; he’s just very naturally quick and spontaneous. Masvidal loves his McDonalds, a Big Mac meal.”

“I stayed out there in a hotel for around a week, and we were going out every night. Masvidal likes to party a lot, but he’ll still get up to train early.”

“Jorge is the opposite of what you’d expect of MMA fighters. Most of them are super-disciplined. Having said that, when Jorge got the call about the KJ Noons fight, he began to change everything around and started seriously training, probably for the first time ever.”

You also might not know that Masvidal, Santiago and their trainer Juan Carlos Faraldo have all gone in together to help fund the production of the next season of Miami Hustle in addition to some MMA company sponsorship help. Genghis Con will be filming Jorge as he trains for his upcoming bout with Gilbert Melendez so we can expect to see some more great footage and Masvidal personality from that in the near future. Now go entertain yourself with a few mini journal editions of the Miami Hustle Series and have a lovely friday afternoon. [source]
