Gamid Khizriev stayed unbeaten and shut down Biaggio Ali Walsh on Saturday, submitting Muhammad Ali’s grandson with a twister at 2:32 of Round 1 on the PFL Austin prelims at Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

The lightweight bout aired before Johnny Eblen and Impa Kasanganay’s interim-title main event. The result moved Khizriev to 5-0, while Ali Walsh fell to 4-2.
Khizriev Turned One Scramble Into The Whole Fight
Ali Walsh opened in the center with his jab and tried to get first touch on the feet, but Khizriev answered with a right hand and quickly changed levels. The first takedown did not stick for long, and Ali Walsh worked back up twice, but each stand-up only gave Khizriev a cleaner path to the next phase of the scramble.
Khizriev took the back and kept the sequence there. He landed short elbows, locked a body triangle, and stayed attached as Ali Walsh tried to rotate free. That turn gave Khizriev the opening to lace up the modified twister, forcing the tap and closing one of the sharpest finishes on the early card.
Ali Walsh entered the night at 4-1 and still carried name recognition from being Muhammad Ali’s grandson. MiddleEasy had already covered both his first-round knockout in his MMA debut and the Ronnie Gibbs upset that cracked his unbeaten run. Khizriev left Austin unbeaten with the cleanest result of his pro run so far.
