Frankie Edgar’s Camp Slammed Conor McGregor Over UFC 222 Claims

Conor Mcgregor, a UFC lightweight champion dropped a bombshell via an Instagram post on Thursday, where he revealed that he tried to replace Max Holloway against Frankie Edgar at UFC 222, but the UFC denied him.

Edgar’s manager Ali Abdelaziz responded to Mcgregor’s claims about offering his services against Frankie Edgar, says Conor is full of shit, and a liar and his recent statement is just a lie:

“Let me tell you about Conor McGregor,” Abdel-Aziz told TMZ. “He’s like a prostitute, used to make high-dollar money, but she got old and nobody wanted her anymore. This f*cking guy. For three years, he did everything he can not to fight Frankie Edgar.

“He had so many opportunities. Now he wants to fight Frankie? That’s funny.”

“I don’t care if Frankie is 50 years old,” Abdel-Aziz said. “Frankie could be 50 years old and beat the shit out of him and the whole entire nation of Ireland. He’d beat everyone in Ireland hands down.

“He can’t beat Frankie. He can wait until Frankie is 60 — Frankie would still beat his ass.”

Frankie Edgar, the former lightweight champion, will compete Brian Ortega in the co-main event of UFC 222  which is set to go down on March 3, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the past, Edgar repeatedly has asked to fight Conor but to no avail. Two years ago, Edgar was promised a shot at the featherweight title that McGregor held, only to see the Mcgregor move to the lightweight division, where he won the title and then crossover to fight Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring.

Edgar’s striking coach Mark Henry also took to social media to blast Mcgregor:

Dana White told TMZ, he will strip Conor McGregor of his UFC Lightweight title, so the fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson at UFC 223 in April will be for the real belt. However, White wants Conor to face the winner of Tony Vs Khabib.

Do you think Frankie Edgar and Conor Mcgregor will fight again?
