Frankie Edgar has a very strange fighting style. He constantly pressures the opponent and delivers a combo of very quick punches which are followed by one strong punch in the end. His most dangerous punch is right overhand. Frankie also knows to throw low kicks and even spinning kicks. He doesn’t use knees much in the stand-up.

All successful title shots were main events of the evening. Edgar and BJ Penn faced again at UFC 118 on August 28, 2010, in Boston, Massachusetts. The Answer won via unanimous decision again.

In the rematch with Gray Maynard at UFC 125, on January 1, 2011, the fight was called a draw via split decision. Maynard dropped Edgar few times in the first round, but Frankie survived. The rematch between these two was held at UFC 200, on July 9, 2016, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the main event of the evening. Despite Frankie was excellent again, Jose Aldo defeated him via unanimous decision. Like the last time, Jose Aldo was defending Edgar’s takedowns with ease and punishing him with tremendous and painful low kicks.

Frankie Edgar defeated Jeremy Stephens at UFC 205 on November 12, 2016, via unanimous decision.

The Answer was successful again versus Yair Rodriguez at UFC 211 on May 13, 2017. At the end of the second round, Yair was bleeding heavily and the doctor stopped the fight.

Edgar survived his first KO of the career in the fight against Brian Ortega at UFC 222 on March 3, 2018. The two clinched up at the end of the first round and Ortega crushed him with a strong right uppercut. Frank Mir believes Edgar made a mistake by accepting the fight.
