Frank Lester Claims Jon Jones Trains High on Marijuana
The tension between former Jackson-Wink striking coach Frank Lester and Jon Jones has elevated another level. Last week, Lester released a statement saying that Jones owed him over 13k in camp/ training fees and was also the reason why Lester was released from his duties at Jacksons. Jones, on the other hand, vows that Lester would never receive that kind of money him. Especially because it was only Lester’s second camp with Jon. Now, Lester is declaring that Jon trains under the influence of marijuana, and made Lester do it as well.
Ever since Lester released his scathing Instagram post bashing Jon and Jackson-Wink, he’s been writing a ‘tell-all’ in the form of text messages to media outlets. Receiving the forwarded messages was media outlet MMA Fighting. In them, Lester did his best Tekashi 6ix9ine impression, revealing every detail he possibly could.
Explaining how he was owed the money he claimed, Lester revealed that Jon offered a full-time coaching position for UFC 239. Lester told MMA Fighting that Jon said, “This time, I’m going to give you a full coach’s pay, and all my coaches make between 20 and 25 grand.”
Leaked Group Text Messages Revealed
That’s when Lester began to reveal Jon’s training methods.
“He likes to get in his vibe, you know what I’m saying? So before every practice, Jon likes to get all the coaches together and you know, listen to some Bob Marley and smoke a little blunt,” Lester said. “(Jackson Wink co-founder and head coach) Greg (Jackson) and (Winkeljohn) aren’t a part of that. But he likes to get in his vibe.” (Via MMA Fighting forwarded messages)
“We all get his jeep and we drive around, we smoke a blunt, and we get back in the gym. (Then) We start stretching out. We always pray in, and we always pray out. Sometimes Jon does it, and sometimes it’s like, ‘Hey, Frank, you do it this time, or Eric, you do it this time.’ Either way, someone prays in and says, ‘Lord, thank you for our lives, and grant us a good training session and (give) the energy and the wisdom to give Jon the proper training he needs to win this next world title.’ And then we train. We train f*cking hard.” (via MMA Fighting forwarded messages)
Frank also revealed that Jon “made” him get high as well.
Lester quote that didn't make cut: "(Jon) only practices high. Stoned, not high. It helps us. I didn't end up liking that until Jon made me do it all the time. It's kind of like, you see openings in sparring." https://t.co/pjAIC2vM5R

USADA Marijuana Policy
As we all know, marijuana and cannabinoids are prohibited in-competition. WADA/USADA believes that marijuana and cannabinoids have the potential to enhance sports performance, violate the spirit of sport, and represent a potential health risk to the athletes. The use of cannabinoids in competition may lead to an anti-doping violation and sanction.
While the allegations from Lester are heavy, there are always two sides to each story.
More will be revealed and Middle Easy will be here for it.
