Francis Ngannou Wants To Fight Brock Lesnar, After Beating Stipe Miocic

Francis Ngannou will have the biggest fight of his MMA career at UFC 220 on January 20, when he squares off against Stipe Miocic for the UFC Heavyweight Championship inside the TD Garden in Boston. However, he already has his sights set on who he would like to fight next.

Ngannou says, the former UFC heavyweight champ and WWE superstar Brock Lesnar, who was originally hyped to fight fallen Jon Jones before ‘Bones’ tested positive for PEDs last year.

This will be Ngannou’s first-ever title fight of his UFC career, while Stipe Miocic will be defending the Heavyweight title for the third time since he scored it by beating Fabricio Werdum at UFC 198 in May of 2016.

Francis Ngannou is the odds-on favorite in his fight against the Miocic, that means he could cause an upset this Saturday night, and he has even bigger aims for beyond this weekend as well-says he would love to ‘test’ Brock Lesnar in the Octagon.

“As a challenger, I need and want to fight some people because that would give me the opportunity to get to the title shot,” Ngannou said on WFAN’s ‘Outside the Cage’ podcast on Monday, per Brian Campbell of CBSSports. “[But] as a champion, I think you are going to see them come. Also, I think the fight that I would like to see is Ngannou against Brock Lesnar. It’s not my deal, it’s the UFC’s deal. He’s a very huge guy and seems like a very powerful guy. I want to test him.”

Ngannou has talked about Lesnar, not the first time, as he called out Brock Lesnar last month and said it would be a dream matchup.

Lesnar did receive a year suspension after testing positive for Peds at UFC 200 and his victory over Mark Hunt was overturned to a No Contest. However, the suspension is due to expire soon, so the matchup between Ngannou and Lesnar could be on UFC’s mind if they want to create another super fight.

The highly anticipated UFC 220 PPV takes place this Saturday, Jan. 20 at TD Garden in Boston.
