Francis Ngannou Hopes To KO Stipe Miocic will Earn Him Dream Fight With Brock Lesnar

It looks like the heavyweight division is set to have one of the most magnifying title fights in recent memory, with Francis Ngannou being definitively indicated the number one contender following his mind-blowing knockout of Alistair Overeem at UFC 218 over the weekend in Detroit.

Ngannaou is believed to be in talks to sign on the dotted line for a title shot against Stipe Miocic, with dates being floated as early as UFC 220 in Boston on January 20th next year.

Francis Ngannou is confident that he will come out victorious in his fight with Stipe said in an interview with Top Turtle MMA (Flocombat). He also stated if he TKO stipe that will earn him a chance to fight Brock Lesnar.

“I expect a finish,” Ngannou told Top Turtle MMA (via FloCombat) this week. “Because he’ll probably try a takedown, it might be a submission, but I’ll always predict a KO.”

“My dream? I would like to see a match between me and Brock Lesnar,” Ngannou said.

Ngannou then delved into the appeal of a potential collision with Lesnar.

“You know, two big dudes,” he said. “I like that matchup. I’m excited for that kind of matchup… I want to see that match.”

“He’s big and huge, but he’s not stronger than me,”

Ngannou wants that title shot so badly ever since signing with the UFC. If he pulls off a title-winning finish over Miocic, he hopes it’ll open the door for his dream fight: a showdown with Brock Lesnar, is not a crazy idea to think about it.

Currently, Brock Lesnar is sidelined by USADA due to off failed drug test after his UFC 200 battle with Mark Hunt. So chances of developing a fight with Lesnar is nowhere near.

Ngannou stated if the idea of fighting with Lesnar comes true he wants to remind him of one thing.

“[I’m] the more powerful guy and I’m also a [more] talented guy.”
