Francis Ngannou says Dana White hasn’t talked to him in over a year

Francis Ngannou says Dana White

Look we don’t expect Dana White to talk with all 600 or so fighters the UFC employs, but yeah some of these guys/gals are important. Francis Ngannou is important.

Francis Ngannou just knocked out a dude on UFC’s first ever card on ESPN. Call us crazy, but we think these guy could be a star (read with extreme sarcasm). If there ever was someone who looked the part as baddest man on the planet, Francis is it.

Six foot five, 265 pound grown men with knockout power are ready-made stars. For lack of a better term, put some respect on the name of Francis.

So if Francis is one of the UFC’s first, homegrown, organic star fighters in awhile, then why isn’t Dana White talking to him on the regular? How could the President of the UFC go a full calendar year without talking to Francis on the phone or in person?

Via Skype? Google Hangouts? Facetime?

Dana, at least send our dude from Cameroon a Snapchat for Christ’s sake. Just picturing Ngannou opening up Snapchat only to find a video of Dana White using the puppy dog filter on him.

Sending out tongue wags as an act of forgiveness.

Appearing Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show starring Ariel Helwani, Francis gave some interesting quotes about his relationship with White.

Did Francis talk with White backstage after UFC Phoenix?

“No. Not at all.”

What?

When asked if him and White were able to clear the air and talk this week, Francis gave another telling answer.

“Okay, so I haven’t talked to Dana White since one year ago. Maybe more.”

How?

At least Ariel and Francis got to bond over Dana White seemingly disliking both of them.

What is going on UFC? The promo always needs stars, don’t let Francis slip away like this. Over what?
