The return of Mirko Cro Cop stateside is happening this weekend in Bellator. Bellator is pulling off a double header at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Why? Probably because TV or streaming deals, but MMA’s second biggest promo is holding a card on Friday night and again on Saturday night in the same venue.
Overall 44 fighters will fight inside a Bellator cage this weekend. Pretty cool.
You know what else is cool? Physical fitness and being your best self. Fresh off a 6-0, two year run with Rizin, Uncle Cro Cop is back on American soil and he’s matched up with Roy Nelson.
Where will this all lead? Who knows, but Scott Coker loves him some Pride legends and so do we. We almost completely forgot Cro Cop vs. Nelson at Bellator 216 is a rematch of a fight eight years ago at UFC 137.
In that fight, Nleson won by third round TKO. This time Cro Cop is in much better shape and Nelson is still in Big Country shape. What could go wrong?
