First Ever KO by Video in MMA History, Isreal Adesanya Absolutely Wrecks Derek Brunson in Response to His Call Out

If Israel Adesanya wasn’t your favorite fighter, he is about to be.

This is how Israel Adesanya responded to Derek Brunson calling him out to fight at Madison Square Garden later this year. The Last Stylebender’s skills seem to not be limited to the cage. It turns out he is also just as creative in editing in iMovie as he is in the Octagon.

Before we get to everything that is amazing in this video (all of it), I feel like the text accompanying it is being overlooked. First, Israel renames Derek Brunson “shit stained balls”… and I can’t think of anything so hilariously foul.  And then telling him his style is “boot leg #chucknorris” and “#bumfights style” is just too funny. What the fuck are those hashtags? I sincerely hope somewhere in Australia #chucknorris and #bumfights are trending because of this tweet. And for some reason he threw #getthestrap in there. (Is 50 Cent being a paycheck off this?) No matter his motivation, I think it’s clear that Israel Adesanya is MMA’s Walt Whitman of smack talk. A Pablo Picasso of social media meme’s for MMA. It’s beautiful to behold.

As for the video itself, I don’t think Alfred Hitchcock could have edited a better film. This should be preserved by the Library of Congress as a work of cultural significance. It masterfully weaves together not one, but two Harry Potter memes with a dash of Breaking Bad, and an unexpected Ting Ting’s hit that will make you laugh your ass off. Top it off with actual clips Brunson’s fights where his technique was looking terrible and a newborn baby giraffe, and somehow you’ve made something that will echo in the pantheon of MMA’s internet culture forever.

May the MMA Gods bless you, “The Last Stylebender”.
