Dana White caused quite a stir with his recent gesture.
On the birthday of his friend and Nelk Boys member Kyle Forgeard, White was in a generous mood as he gifted him a box with $250,000 in cash.
Forgeard opening his gift was caught on camera which you can watch below:
Uncle @danawhite just gave me $250,000 for my birthday.. pic.twitter.com/noH34JF8zY

Of course, $250,000 is not a big deal for White, but for the rest of us, that’s life-changing money, and the same applies to the UFC roster, many of whom will never come close to earning that much in a fight purse.
And given the issues with fighter pay over the years, the video drew out a number of reactions.
Fighters Respond To Dana White Gesture
Some fighters, like UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling, joked around.
.Dope! My birthday is July 31st! Can’t wait to see what Dana gets me! @danawhite

However, it is saying something that a UFC champion would even make a joke like this.
Former welterweight and current UFC analyst Alan Jouban also commented on the video while remaining as neutral as possible.
I think everyone involved with the UFC would love a surprise $250k! But what Dana does with his personal money is up to him!

Others, mainly former UFC fighters, were not so much in a joking mood when reacting like former welterweight Jon Fitch.
He's giving away the money he stole from fighters. https://t.co/nA7tjgcdqB

Retweet if you think Uncle Dana should give all of the UFC’s top 15 ranked fighters $250,000 for their next birthday. https://t.co/F9BhltEPP7

While these tweets all bring awareness to the fighter pay issue, it would certainly be more interesting (and effective) if a prominent and active UFC fighter started commenting on the video.
