Feijao knocked out Yoel Romero with a ‘really broken’ arm

Put the weird dance off that was the first round aside and we had a memorable slugfest between two heavy handed 205’ers on the Strikeforce prelims Saturday night. Feijao’s performance was impressive, but what’s more impressive is the fact that he entered that wild second round with a broken arm and still pulled out the knockout win. Who thought a broken bone could have come out of that round one? Feijao revealed this secret injury to Tatame:

I couldn’t do my best because I broke my arm on the first round… When I tried to punch him, he dodged and my forearm hit his head and broke. I went to the hospital after the fight to do an X-ray and it’s really broken… He pressured me on the second round, but I overcame that. What made a big difference on this fight were my trainings, I was able to show I’m back.

Finding out after the fact that Feijao knocked out Yoel  Romero with one arm is like finding out Temple of Doom was actually a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark: enlightening and warrants yet another view even if the first half is boring. [Source]
