Fedor says he will NOT retire, Bloodstain Lane steps away from the ledge

I grew up believing that duct tape and Robitussin can fix anything, so I was surprised that neither item was in Fedor’s corner after the second round in his bout against Bigfoot Silva. After the first event of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand-Prix, it was reported that Fedor didn’t even go to the doctor. In fact, he did not have a broken orbital socket. The guy was in relatively perfect health, aside from the fact that he couldn’t see out of his right eye. When Gus Johnson interviewed Fedor, he stated that his time in mixed martial arts was over — but I couldn’t fully understand due to the guy sitting in the stands behind me screaming ‘This is America, speak English!‘. That guy was pretty active for the entire fight actually. If anyone knows who that guy was, tell him he should have a lucrative career as a FOX News anchor.

Fedor grabbed an L, and it’s damn hard to type that. Now that The Last Emperor has returned to Russia, he’s reevaluated his in-cage comments and says that he’s not finished with MMA — but he still can’t see.

“I rushed to declare my retirement. I will fight more. Possibly, I will return to the Heavyweight Grand-Prix. I am capable of having a few more fights. I didn’t make any analysis yet on why I lost. I need to recover, I can’t see very well yet.”

Wait, don’t wipe those tears away just yet. Check out this new video by Machinemen about Fedor Emelianenko entitled ‘No Words’ and be sure to place a coffee cup under your eyes. You’re going to need it. [Source]
