Fedor has been cut from Strikeforce

The Last Emperor no longer has a kingdom.

You’ve suspected it ever since Dan Henderson shocked the world by being the first man to knock out the former Pride FC heavyweight champion, but you just didn’t want to believe your intuition. We tried telling you guys in the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill, but your inherit optimism made you ignore it. Now that Dana White has confirmed that Fedor Emelianenko has been cut from Strikeforce, you can let those tears run down your cheek and still be considered a man.

MMAWeekly just confirmed the news that we already knew. There’s nothing ‘breaking’ about it, aside from the heart break that will be endured from the thousands of Pride FC fans across the world. The first top ten list we published over two years ago listed the top ten reason why Fedor vs. Brock will never happen. Sure it’s outdated by now, but the point still remains — that was the original super fight and with Fedor’s release from ZUFFA, it looks like MMA will never see that bout take place.

When Werdum submitted Fedor, we were shocked. When Bigfoot pounded Fedor, we were blown away. When Dan Henderson knocked out Fedor, we were saddened. With Fedor being cut from ZUFFA — we’re just numb. [Source]
