Fabricio Werdum would love to welcome Jon Jones to the heavyweight division

Last week, Genki Sudo visited a dimension where Fedor is still undefeated, Mayhem Miller is America’s primary republican candidate president, and Nick Diaz is the star of The Dog Whisperer. Unfortunately, that’s not the dimension we reside in. In this dimension, Nick Diaz doesn’t like Pomeranians, Mayhem Miller is re-evaluating his public speaking skills, and Fabricio Werdum was the first man to defeat Fedor, and the only man to ever beat him by submission. That automatically gives Fabricio the confidence he needs to call out any man in this universe, even if they don’t fight at heavyweight. Here’s what he had to say in an interview with Tatame.

“I would love to make a fight with Jon Jones, but he has to see that heavyweight is something else. Of course he is champion, for it has size and all the qualities, but it would be another fight. I’d love to give these to welcome him (laughs).”

“There was no drop [of arm pressure] at all. This business of letting go of the arm that time does not exist. I was seated and has no drop [of arm pressure] because it popped. I pluck the arm of Jon Jones out and bring to Brazil (laughs).”

If you subscribe to the theory that Jon Jones won’t be able to stay a light-heavyweight forever because anatomy suggests he’ll probably continue to grow, this could be a pretty sweet challenge for the 205lb Champion. Unfortunately, Jones is still dealing with a hyper-extended elbow courtesy of Vitor Belfort, and it remains to be seen when he’ll return to action. No word on whether the world is really going to end before he feels better.
