Phil Baroni, a name synonymous with mixed martial arts, will be making his return to the cage September 3rd with the OneFC promotion in the inaugural event. Baroni, who takes on fellow UFC veteran Yoshiyuki Yoshida, will look to take Asian MMA by storm and let the new found audience know what he is all about.
We are very excited to talk to you today, Phil. First things, you are a veteran of the sport and had a large part in making it what it is today. What does it mean to you to now be involved in bringing the sport to the billions that are in Asia?
It means alot to me. I am in the co-main event so that means ONE FC repsects me and my career thus far. I cant wait to bring MMA to billions of people. I feel like ONE FC is counting on me to perform and I am doing my part in the gym to make sure I am able to accomplish that. In fact, I plan on fighting my ass off and having a billion Asians talking about me after the show. I want to blow them away. I want to make them want to see me again and again, like the fans in PRIDE did. I plan on putting on a violent spectacle and astonishing the people of Singapore with my flare, style and no guts, no glory style of fighting
