Touching gloves at the beginning of the round is the only time in MMA in which two opponents can come in contact without the intent of cutting the other person’s consciousness short. It’s usually a sign of respect, unless you fake touching gloves only to go for a flurry of punches seconds later. Of course this is what happened at Ultimate Cage Championships 14 in the UK when Jack McGann went to touch Luke Harrison’s gloves at the beginning of their bout last weekend, but was met with an unsolicited amount of straight jabs. The MMA gods saw the injustice in this altercation and rectified it the only way supreme omnipotent beings can — with an incredible YouTube video.
