If you go to Urbandictionary and search for ‘Kalib Starnes’, an entry comes up entitled ‘Starned’. Here’s what the definition is according to luke4907:
Starned
released from a contract or agreement for lack of performance; fired, as in the case of Kalib Starnes, former UFC fighter.
“After two months of weak sales, Bob got Starned from his job.”
To be ‘starned’. As in that dude was just starned from life for not looking both ways before he crossed the street. Other uses of ‘starned’ include: ‘Hey man, I thought you were going to help me move this weekend. You just starned me!’ or ‘Dude, you just got starned from that chick at the bar’.
A lot of you guys remember Kalib Starnes from his UFC 83 fight against Nate Quarry. Dude broke his foot early in the first round and spent a full fifteen minutes running away from Quarry. At the end of the third round, Nate decided cover his face and just chase Starnes with his other hand swinging wildly. Kalib was released from the UFC after that fight but trained Houston Alexander in the art of ‘The Kalib Technique’ prior to his bout with Kimbo Slice. Last year, Kalib participated in one MMA bout in which he lost to Hector Lombard in the first round via submission from punches.
Now it looks like Kalib will fight at the X-1 World Events – Champions 2 against Falaniko Vitale in Honolulu on March 20th. That’s it. That’s all I really have to tell you about the topic. I think I’ve exceeded my Kalib Starnes news for 2010. Check back next year for another article with the words ‘Kalib Starnes’ in the title. [Source]
