Strikeforce Nashville is less than five days away and now it’s time to finally climb out of that void of confusion that was UFC 112. Sure the past couple days was an entertaining voyage through the land of un-taped glove obscurity and impromptu dance numbers inside the octagon. On Saturday, we saw the MMA lightweight ranks literally explode in the middle east and rematerialize into some gaseous cloud of chaos and on April 17th, that metaphorical cloud will be solidified when the #1 ranked lightweight in the world takes on the Strikeforce champion in a state whose local export is responsible for a plethora of unprotected sex in college campuses across the country. Shinya Aoki will bang against Gilbert Melendez in a bout that has suddenly been infused with a level of rawesomeness that has never been witnessed before on primetime television. Just to keep the Strikeforce hype train going until it’s final destination in Nashville, Tennesse, check out this Japanese promo of perhaps the most important lightweight bout of 2010. Props to MMASupremacy for the tip and Dean for the pic.
