- Eddie Alvarez commented on Tyreek Hill’s roadside incident with the police
- The former UFC lightweight champ ended up having a back-and-forth with social media users
Eddie Alvarez shared his honest thoughts on the recent incident involving NFL star Tyreek Hill and the Miami police.
Eddie sides with the authority
Hill made headlines after a bodycam footage of his encounter with the Miami-Dade police was uploaded. In the video, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver could be seen arguing with the officers over allegations of speeding on his way to a game.

Taking to X, the former UFC lightweight champion sided with the police as he emphasized the need to always respect the authorities.
“I find out my kids ever disrespect a police office , they better hope they get arrested … Coming home won’t be the place to go.”

Fans hit back at Eddie
Hill’s roadside incident alone was already sparked debates on social media but Alvarez’s comments was another hot subject of discussion in its own right. Unsurprisingly, “The Underground King” received a feisty response from a random fan, who quizzed Alvarez for an answer to some police officers disrespecting Black people like Hill.
“Got any bright ideas on what to do when the police disrespect your kids? Because that’s happening to people who don’t look like you, which is the point of the discussion,” the fan asked Eddie.
Alvarez then replied and suggested that the police’s job to question any alleged violator and people should not act “entitled” in such situations.
“It’s not the point -the first words out of his mouth were “ don’t hit my window like that gang “ . Only an entitled dickhead behaves like that . I tell my kids to comply and be respectful. If That would be there best shot at not getting a ticket or arrested .. might wanna try it,” Alvarez wrote.

Another fan reply prompted Alvarez to address the main point of the issue which is to “comply” and don’t disrespect a man in uniform.
He escalated it !!! He was told something and didn’t listen … listen , be respectful, comply … is that too difficult!

The situation did not escalate any further and Hill was given a speeding ticket. However, he was allowed to leave and was able to make it to his team’s game.
Alvarez is currently fighting at BKFC. He is coming off a tough loss to Mike Perry at BKFC 56 this past December.
