Internet sensation Liver King made headlines for his insanely jacked physique and unique diet of consuming raw meat and organs. While King preached the nine ancestral tenets he followed to get ripped, a recent report by Derek of MPMD showed otherwise. After Derek exposed King’s PED usage and detailed his steroid cycle, Alvarez shared a DM he sent to King last year probing into his formerly-claimed natty status.
Alvarez took to Twitter to share Liver King’s response to the message he sent alleging gear use.
“I’ve never cheated nor taken a shortcut in any capacity of life,” wrote Liver King. “You earn the life and wife that you behold. MMA world reacted to the news
There had been a lot of speculation about whether King was natural, with UFC color commentator Joe Rogan claiming King had an a** filled with steroids. Some members of the MMA community shared their reaction to Alvarez’s update.
Aaron Bronsteter of TSN Sports wrote, “Dude sounds like The Ultimate Warrior being interviewed by Mean Gene Okerlund.”
Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson commented: “I would say ive never seen any picture of our ancestors look that big.”

Former UFC lightweight champion Alvarez was last seen in action against Rae Yoon Ok in April at One Championship on TNT 4. He dropped the bout after going the full distance by unanimous decision. It marked the third loss in his last five showings, with a sole win coming over Eduard Folayang in Aug. 2019.
