Dustin Poirier Vs. The Korean Zombie on May 15th? We approve.

When we interviewed Dustin Poirier on April 20th of last year about his documentary, Fightville and his place in the title shot landscape after defeating then featherweight number one contender Josh Grispi, this is what he said:

Oh man…I don’t know about that, I don’t know if it’s my time. I want to be ready you know? I’m still new I’m 22 years old and I don’t know how these fights are gonna go. I will wait my time. This is my 20th fight, I just want to build and get better and I want to build to that and be more developed as a fighter and be more complete. I don’t want my shot when I’m not ready. Maybe when I’m more comfortable.

Now exactly one year later; Fightville will be in theaters across the nation on 4/20 and Dustin ‘The Diamond’ will have to be ready for an incoming title shot. Especially if he defeats The Korean Zombie as the main event of UFC on Fuel 3. The Tim Credeur led Poirer realized that he and Chan Sung were on a collision course and took to twitter to make it interesting.

Props to these guys for making Joe Silva’s job easy. Bummer Dustin isn’t in UFC Undisputed 3 and Chan Sung is DLC. I really want this fight to happen right now. In my living room.
