Dustin Poirier finally found a buyer for his UFC 302 fight kit.
After coming up short in his third and presumably final shot at the lightweight world title, ‘The Diamond’ put his custom floral fight shorts and golden gloves up for auction.
As it turns out, it was UFC Hall of Famer Khabib Nurmagomedov who took the kit off Poirier’s hands.
“He purchased it,” Poirier told MMA Junkie’s Mike Bohn. “… $30,000.”
The kit was initially sold via auction, but the winning bidder never ponied up the dough, prompting Nurmagomedov’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, to reach out. The money will go towards Poirier’s charity, The Good Fight Foundation.
“He came through, we shipped it off, backpacks are getting filled,” Poirier said.

Dustin Poirier Will Provide 1,500 Backback Filled with Supplies to School Children on August 3
For the last five years, Poirier’s organization has provided backpacks filled with school supplies for underprivileged children in the Lafayette Parish school system.
“The Poirier family saw the opportunity to turn memorabilia into new memories by auctioning off pieces from Dustin’s storied UFC career,” the official website reads. “The money raised benefitted their hometown in Louisiana to help underserved communities – from food insecurity to health care and environmental disaster relief.
“They answered this call by auctioning off Dustin’s fight kits after every match including his trunks, shirts, and wraps. The first auctioned kit was from UFC 211, Dustin versus Eddie Alvarez, providing 3,000 meals for their local Second Harvest Food Bank.”
This year’s ‘Back to School’ event takes place on August 3 in Lafayette, Louisiana.
“We’ve got about 1,500, maybe a little bit less, maybe a little bit more, backpacks filled with school supplies for the year,” Poirier said.
