- Dricus du Plessis poked fun at Brendan Schaub for heavily favoring Israel Adesanya at UFC 305
- “Stillknocks” also trolled Drake for betting on Izzy to beat him
Dricus du Plessis hit back at Brendan Schaub for confidently backing Israel Adesanya to finish him at UFC 305.
Brendan rooted for Izzy
After defending his middleweight title, “Stillknocks” spent some time trolling those who backed “The Last Stylebender” to win. Ahead of UFC 305, Schaub predicted that Izzy would dominate and stop Du Plessis. However, it went down the other way around as Du Plessis submitted Adesanya in the fourth round.
“This is how it’s going to go, mark my words. He’s going to beat Dricus. He’s going to outclass him on Saturday. He’s going to beat the s**t out of him. He’s going to outclass this dude. It’s going to be the old, vintage Izzy – by old, I mean, a year ago. He’s going to beat the s**t out of him because he’s had rest. He’s no longer the hunted, he’s the hunter. He’s going to beat Dricus,” Schaub said on his YouTube channel.
Dricus du Plessis made sure to remind Brendan Schaub that he predicted Israel Adesanya was going to "beat the sh*t out of him" 😅

Du Plessis then did not let Schaub get away without being mocked over his prediction.
“@BrendanSchaub great prediction has been haha JK you have never been,” the champ wrote on X.

DDP did the same thing to Drake
Apart from Schaub, Drake also got a piece of Du Plessis following UFC 305. Drake lost $450K after betting on Adesanya to beat “Stillknocks.” Du Plessis then made it a point to let the rapper know about his terrible mistake.
From the look of it, Du Plessis seems aware that many are not convinced that he is the best middleweight fighter in the world and he’s been having fun proving them wrong.
Du Plessis thinks he is likely to face Sean Strickland for his next title defense. After that, “Stillknocks” plans to move up to light heavyweight to take on Alex Pereira.
