Dream vs. Strikeforce title fights in the future

So the Strikeforce: Mayhem Miller vs. Jake Shields conference call just ended (‘just’ being like two hours ago) and aside from Mayhem admitting that he used to fight his dad (and still loved him afterward), Scott Coker announced that Strikeforce title holders will compete  against Dream title holders in cross promotional championship fights. Holy bleeping bleep. That means we can see Marius ‘Whitemare’ Zaromskis against the winner of Nick Diaz/Jay Hieron for the Strikeforce/Dream belt. Shinya Aoki vs. the winner of Gilbert Melendez/Josh Thompson…winner takes home two belts. That’s probably the best thing you’re going to read today. In fact put down your coffee, stop what you’re doing and just go home. Today will not get any better. Today has reached it’s peak optimal performance. Everything that occurs after this is just filler.

On the conference call, Scott Coker also said Alistair Overeem will be back in the cage defending his belt late Februrary/early March. Well, that’s before he fights in Golden Glory, Dream 12 and the K-1 finals. To wrap things up, he also said Jacare will be fighting on the next CBS fight card which will happen in December. Solid stuff coming an organization that has…well, the best fighter in the world (and Herschel Walker!).
