Dream is bringing back the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix

This article is two stories combined in one very easy to read story. It’s like two and one shampoo, but with MMA inside a bottle instead of a mixture of chemicals that will probably give you cancer in fiver years. Today, it was announced that Babalu has signed a multi-fight contract with Dream. Moments later, the news was dropped that Dream is having their first light heavyweight grand prix and Babalu will indeed participate in the tournament which is set to begin May 30th. Babalu shares his name with a porn star. Bet you didn’t know that. In his fight with Gegard Mousasi last summer, Babalu made it clear that he wanted to take Gegard down to the mat immediately. Dude is relentless on the ground and simply won’t let go, much like my ex-girlfriend. Actually, it’s the other way around. Unfortuantely for Babalu, Mousasi launched a couple of fists in his direction that sent him astral traveling. Regardless, if I had to make a team of X-Men to defend the planet from an alien invasion, Babalu would be on the top of a very short list. I’m not the only one, Cameron Dollar thinks so too.

Sokoudjou, Babalu, Mousasi and a crew of other guys with really cool last names will participate in Dream’s Light Heavyweight tournament. Matchups have not been announced but assuming that the GP will have eight particpants, we will probably see Minowaman go up to 205 and hopefully Satoshi Ishii will drop down to light heavyweight. Cross your fingers people. [Source]
