Dream 17 bout order announcement

Here we stand, one week out from DREAM 17. An event whose existence six months ago would have been strongly questioned, has shaped up to be a very exciting card. As we have spoke of in the past, we find it very intriguing that the promotion has gone outside the coast of Japan to find fighters to make the World Bantamweight Grand Prix just that, competition from all over the world.

The return of Sakuraba since having an ear removed will certainly mark a high point on the card. In a rare instance, they have matched Sakuraba with a fellow grappler. The submission ace is 9-0, winning every fight thus far by way of submission. We know Sakuraba’s history. He does possess his ultimate strike, however, the Saku-chop.

Shinya Aoki will display his retooled Muay Thai game to the world (we have seen it in action and think you will be impressed) which should make for a fun fight with fellow striker Rob McCullough.

Announced last night were the order of the bouts at DREAM 17. The following video is said announcement.
