Drake picked Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor as his all-time favorite MMA fighters.
Nate and Conor are Drake’s all-time faves
Drake has long been a passionate fan of the UFC and has earned a reputation as one of the most prominent figures in the world of sports betting. Like any other MMA fan, the famous rapper also has his own personal favorites.
Among the fighters that Drake admires, two stand out as his top picks –Diaz and McGregor.
“I’m going to answer this question strictly based on who, to me, you just can’t get more thorough than this guy,” Drake said. “I respect people where you are where you’re from and nothing else can change [that]. The money, the wins, nothing. So to me, it’s Nate. That’s my favorite fighter because Nate is just crazy, through and through,” Drake said during a recent live stream on his Kick channel.
“Of course I have other favorite fighters. I love Conor with all my heart… Nate’s going to be one of those people [where] Nate’s going to Nate. I respect the Diaz brothers. Shout out to them,” he added.
Drake doesn’t want to name his favorite boxers
Apart from MMA, Drake also closely follows boxing. However, the Canadian refused to name his all-time favorites in boxing as he didn’t want to delve into the technical side of the sweet science to explain his picks.
“Boxing is tough cuz you get into like technical conversation… so I don’t want to answer that question embarrass myself,” Drake said.
Over the years, Drake has become a notable figure in MMA due to his massive bets on his favorite fighters and his connection to some UFC stars. In fact, he has been friends with McGregor and Israel Adesanya, among others.
