Donald Trump expects UFC Freedom 250 to pull monster numbers when the promotion brings its June 14 card to the White House South Lawn.

Trump discussed the event during a Fox News interview. The card is set for Washington, D.C., with “The Claw” expected to hold about 5,000 spectators around the octagon while the broadcast streams on Paramount+ in the United States instead of traditional pay-per-view.

Trump pointed to the White House location as the reason he believes the event can reach a different level.

“It’s right at the front door to the White House, and you’ll never see it again,” Trump told Fox News. “It’s never happened before, and you’ll never see it again. It’s great and the UFC’s going to have all the best fighters in the world coming that night. They all say we want to fight at the White House. Dana is an amazing man, he’s done an amazing job, he’s put together something that — this will be the highest-rated event, maybe one of them ever in sports.”

Trump also credited Dana White for building the White House card, which has become the UFC’s biggest swing yet at turning a fight night into a national spectacle.

“What he’s [White] done is amazing, I’m not sure anybody could have done it but him,” Trump said. “You don’t usually say that but not many people could have, he’s a very special man. This is going and it’s all free. It’s going to soldiers. We’re going to have over 100,000, maybe 100,000 people in the park across the street, eight giant screens, and all free.”

That tracks with Trump’s earlier plan for a large public viewing setup after he outlined a UFC White House event expected to draw a massive crowd.

The card is headlined by Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje in a lightweight title-unification fight. Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane is booked as the co-main event for the interim heavyweight title. Those are real stakes, even with all the White House chaos around it.

There are still obvious outdoor-event questions. Joe Rogan already raised concerns about heat, bugs, and weather, and Dana White has talked about the bug issue around the venue. But Trump is framing the event as a one-time sports broadcast play, not just another UFC card.

If the numbers match the hype, UFC Freedom 250 could become the company’s strangest business win yet.
