Donald Trump voiced his support for Bo Nickal and even plans to watch him fight at UFC 309.

Trump admires Bo

Speaking during his recent appearance on The JRE podcast, Trump asked Joe Rogan about what’s next for Nickal in the UFC. When the UFC commentator informed him that Nickal will be fighting at UFC 309 at Madison Square Garden, the former POTUS got a bit hyped up and revealed his plan to come to the fight after the U.S. Presidential elections.

“Bo Nickal, he’s a great fighter. How’s he gonna do? I think he’s terrific. He’s almost like, undefeated in college. When is he fighting again? That’s gonna be interesting, after the election [UFC 309]? So, I’ll either go as president, or I’ll be depressed and I won’t bother going,” Trump said during his conversation with Rogan.

Bo was thrilled

It didn’t take long before Trump’s clip found its way to Nickal’s feed. Thrilled with Trump’s praise, the middleweight contender reposted it and promptly responded and expressed his gratitude.

“Thank you Mr. President,” Nickal wrote.

Trump has been a solid MMA fan, particularly the UFC. Over time, the former POTUS also gained the promotion’s support.

As for Nickal, he is set to face Paul Craig at UFC 309 on Nov. 16. He is coming off a spectacular submission win over Cody Brundage at UFC 300 and will look to improve his unbeaten UFC record to four consecutive wins.
