Khamzat Chimaev hopes Donald Trump walks away with a victory on November 5.
After serving four years as the United States’ Commander in Chief, the American people voted Trump out of office in 2020 hoping it would be the last they’d hear of the recently convicted felon. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Trump was once again the recipient of the GOP’s nomination for President, putting him on a collision course with current Vice President Kamala Harris.
As many fight fans already know, Dana White and most of the UFC roster are staunch supporters of the ex-POTUS. You can even add Chechen standout Khamzat Chimaev to that list. Last month, ‘Borz’ suggested that Trump’s re-election could lead to him finally being approved for a U.S. Visa after being forced to fight outside of the country for the past couple of years.

“Let Donald Trump win the fight and I will be there,” Chimaev told Kevin Iole ahead of his return to the Octagon this Saturday at UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi.
White reposted the video on social media which led Trump—a close personal friend of the UFC CEO—to call Chimaev “a great fighter.”
Khamzat Chimaev Could Secure His First Title Opportunity with a Win at UFC 308
Though some have been quick to label Khamzat Chimaev as nothing more than an overhyped prospect, he can quell those claims with a win over former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker.
After bowing out of their originally scheduled scrap at UFC Saudi Arabia in June, the two will meet in the UFC 308 co-main event with the winner likely being next in line for a shot at the division’s current titleholder, Dricus Du Plessis.
‘Borz’ is a perfect 13-0 in his mixed martial arts career with six of those victories coming inside the Octagon. His last appearance came around this same time last year when he bested former welterweight king Kamaru Usman in the UAE.
Whittaker is coming off back-to-back wins against Paulo Costa and Ikram Aliskerov—the man who replaced Chimaev in Riyadh.
