Men fight about money or over women. Fighting for anything else is pointless, counterproductive, and busterish. If O.D.B. were alive, he’d probably disagree with me, but that’s because he was raised in Brooklyn, NY and the rules are completely backwards there. Donald Cerrone doesn’t live in Brooklyn, NY. Dude lives somewhere out in New Mexico where O.D.B. has never been. This past weekend, our favorite cowboy did what most men would do when put in the position to stand up for a woman, only he did it backstage at a local MMA event with the guy scheduled to fight in the main event. The end result were some cuts and bruises on both men, forcing the cancellation of the main event.

“UFC 155 lb fighter Donald Cerrone was involved in a backstage brawl at the Evolution Combat Sports event in Clovis New Mexico event. The brawl was apparently about a young lady now dating Donald Cerrone who used to date main event fighter of the evening Marcus Sursa. Comments were exchanged after Sursa returned from a trip to the rest room and Cerrone was over seeing the warm-ups of several Jackson MMA fighters on the card this night, some words were exchanged by the two and then a shove followed by Cerrone throwing a punch causing a laceration on the eye of Sursa, he responded with a punch cutting the lip of Cerrone.
All told, Sursa was now out of the main event tonight against Buddy Roberts of Reno, NV due to the cut he suffered.”
There’s still no word from ZUFFA regarding possible reprimands, but chances are they aren’t going to like it. In fact, the chances of ZUFFA not liking it are about the same chances of me visiting multiple taco trucks in Brooklyn, NY this month; which equates to levels of certainty alongside death and taxes. Luckily, food trucks are generally a place where men agree on most everything and they rarely stand up for women.
