Donald Cerrone Didn’t Waste A Minute To Accept A Fight With Tony Ferguson

Donald Cerrone is coming off a stunning decision victory over top lightweight contender Al Iaquinta at UFC Ottawa earlier this month. Few days after his victory ‘Cowboy’ accepts a short notice fight against former UFC interim lightweight title Tony Ferguson which takes place at UFC 238 on June 8.

Of course, it comes as a surprise to many, but Cerrone is known for accepting short notice fights all his career, and that’s what he did when UFC called him about Ferguson bout while he was on cave diving trip.

Donald Cerrone recently took to Instagram and detailed on accepting a bout with Tony Ferguson.

“Was down Cave Diving when the UFC called! “ hey want to fight in 3 weeks?” I said hell yessss dropped the bowl of guacamole and set the beer down 🤷🏼‍♂️ hopped the next bird home and ready to rock June 8 in Chicago” – Donald Cerrone wrote on Instagram.

Donald Cerrone is currently riding on a three-fight winning streak with an overall professional score of 36-11-0 and ranked no.4 in the division.

Tony Ferguson meanwhile is on an 11 fight winning streak with an overall score of 24-3-0 and ranked no.3 in the division.

Early predictions who’ll emerge victoriously at UFC 238?
