Donald Cerrone destroyed a man, then held back from destroying him further

Leading up to this fight with Adriano Martins, Donald Cerrone revealed to just about anyone who would listen that the lightweight badass was broke, and would you please spare some change for soup? Now, a year removed from a disappointing night in Chicago against Anthony Pettis at UFC on FOX: Johnson vs. Dodson, Cerrone marked the cold occasion with a stunning knockout over his seemingly random opponent in Martins in what will likely be Knockout of the Night.

Now Cerrone can not be broke for a while.

Still, this proves Cerrone’s own theory correct – when he has cash in the bank, he fights worse. If this knockout is any indication, I will be rooting for a future in which Cerrone trains out of a cardboard box on skid row:

Great sportsmanship from Cerrone, who broke Martins’ fall and held back from needless follow-up punches. Props.
