So we come to the end of another run of The Ultimate Fighter, with the type of controversy that comes with sticking fourteen hungry fighters in a house together only appearing right at the end of the whole season. Tonight we discover who the next Ultimate Fighter is and then we’re treated to a headline fight between Clay Guida and Anthony Pettis. Despite knowing this fight is going to be pure saccharine, I know I’m not alone in feeling a tang of disappointment about the omission of the now obligatory Facebook prelims. However, just as I was getting used to the thought of following play-by-play reports on Twitter, UFC decided to surprise us all with an enfilade of fights as all six prelims will now be aired live on Facebook, including:
[li]Daniel Downes vs. Jeremy Stephens[/li] [li]George Roop vs. Josh Grispi[/li] [li]Scott Jorgensen vs. Ken Stone[/li] [li]Reuben Duran vs. Francisco Rivera[/li] [li]Clay Harvison vs. Justin Edwards[/li] [li]Shamar Bailey vs. Ryan McGillivray[/li]
Will the Facebook stream be stacked full of amazingly exciting fights? The correct answer is: Who cares? Free streams from the UFC will always get a double thumbs up and I can now watch all of my picks for tonight get ripped to pieces. All you need to do is “like” the UFC Facebook page and press play at 6:30 PM ET.
