It’s hard to describe in words exactly what Feijao Calvacante vs Yoel Romero means to me. I can’t remember the last time I was this excited for an undercard fight. In my minds eye, all I see is slow motion Raging Bull style face crushing action between former Strikeforce light heavyweight champ Feijao and Yoel Romero; a Cuban Olympic wrestler who has made two (2) men retire in the ring. Yes, Yoel Romero has two TKO wins via retirement. Not to mention one of the greatest takedowns in MMA history.
Lucky for us we will not only get to watch this epic battle of the 205’ers live on HDNet (8pm est), but we will also get to enjoy the other bangemite sandwiches doled out liberally by the Strikeforce prelims:
