Demetrious Johnson and Henry Cejudo had a friendly chat regarding their previous fights.

‘Frenemies’

The former foes met at Cejudo’s house this weekend, not for a fight, but for a quick visit. Johnson and Cejudo competed against each other twice, with their last meeting coming in 2018. Cejudo would be the one to dethrone Johnson in what would be his last UFC fight.

Years after the rematch, there’s no bad blood between the two. The former champions would never get their trilogy, leaving the score at 1-1. But it looks like it’s fine between the both Cejudo & Johnson.

“Guess who stopped by The Cejudo hacienda today,” Cejudo wrote. “Stay tuned. #frenemies”

Blast From The Past

With no score to be settled, ‘Mighty Mouse’ and ‘Triple C’ looked back to where their series started. They’d recount their first fight at UFC 197, where Johnson TKO’ed Cejudo.

“You hurt me to the body so bad dude,” Cejudo told Johnson. “…That sh*t hurt.”

Cejudo would ultimately get his revenge on DJ, the second time around. Cejudo would be the first man to defeat Johnson at flyweight, where he won by split decision at UFC 227. After being crowned a champion, ‘Triple C’ would defend the flyweight title before moving up and doing the same thing at 135lbs.

Johnson would move to ONE Championship following the end of his lengthy title reign, where he has went 3-1 in MMA since.
