Din Thomas planned on fighting Mayorga in his locker room after Shine Fights was canceled

Damn do I love some potential illegal locker-room fighting. It reminds me of ducking every physical education class in high school in fear of being forced to take a shower with a group of other men. It’s one thing to look at two shirtless, sweaty men in a cage mounting each other, but when it comes to a group of naked men using Dove soap, I draw the line…and it’s a straight line. Of course, it’s a straight line because I was really good in Art class. There’s no double entendre in this article. It’s all straight-forward.

In an interview with MMAJunkie, Din Thomas talks about the time when he almost brawled with Ricardo Mayorga after he discovered Shine Fights was canceled, another fight that the MMA world will never be able to witness.

“They didn’t tell me what room he was in (after the fight was canceled) because me and my goons were going to go up to the room and kick his door in.”

“[Mayorga] was in a no-lose situation. The worst thing that could have happened to me is I got hit with a punch and knocked out. But really, I was going to go out there and choke him out, get it over with, and then he would have gone, ‘Look, this just ain’t my sport, anyway.’ But for me, I would have choked him out anyway. It was an easy fight for me.”

Well Din, the fact that Shine Fights was canceled puts everyone in a lose-lose situation. Maybe not you or any of the other fighters since Shine dipped in their pockets to cut paychecks. My old roommate was great at not fighting also. Maybe he should get a check. My old roommate was also great at not paying me back for the night he put 17 personal dances on his ‘tab’. In fact, just cut the check to me. Thank you. [Source]
