Dillon Danis’ ongoing legal fight has taken another turn after his legal team asked the court for more time.

According to newly filed paperwork, Danis is seeking to postpone a scheduled deposition connected to the lawsuit brought against him by Nina Agdal, citing medical issues following an incident that occurred during UFC 322.

Request Filed After Reported Injury

Danis was expected to sit for a deposition on Dec. 9 in New Jersey. That timeline has now been challenged by his attorneys, who informed the court that Danis is currently in California receiving medical care.

“My understanding is that defendant is in California seeking medical treatment for a severe concussion suffered as a result of a Nov. 15 brawl at Madison Square Garden, when according to newspaper reports, he was beaten by at least 10 individuals,” Danis’ lawyers stated in the filing. “As a result, defendant will not be able to attend his deposition on Dec. 9 in New Jersey.”

The legal team added that the opposing side requested alternative dates early next year.

“Plaintiff’s counsel has asked that defendant provide dates in January when he will be available to be deposed in person and I intend to provide plaintiff’s counsel with January dates no later than Friday, Dec. 12.”

The lawsuit stems from claims made by Agdal, who alleges Danis shared explicit images without consent during the buildup to his 2023 boxing match with Logan Paul. The complaint seeks financial damages, legal fees, and a court order preventing any future sharing of such material.

The deposition delay request came the same day Danis was removed from a scheduled Misfits Boxing bout against Anthony Taylor. He was originally set to defend his Misfits MMA title, but was deemed medically unfit to compete.

UFC 322 Altercation and Aftermath

Danis was ejected from UFC 322 after becoming involved in a chaotic crowd incident linked to members of Islam Makhachev’s team. Security and police intervened, and while city officials later confirmed an investigation took place, no charges were filed.

UFC CEO Dana White later addressed the situation and accepted responsibility for allowing Danis to remain seated prior to the escalation.

“You will never see Dillon Danis at a UFC fight ever again,” White said at the UFC 322 post-fight press conference. “That [incident] and a lot of other reasons [are why we’d never sign him]. You’ll never see him at another fight.”

For now, Danis’ legal case remains active, with the next step hinging on whether the court approves his request to move the deposition into January while he continues treatment.
