Danis was supposed to meet Mike Perry at Dual Arena 1 on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Kia Center in Orlando, Florida, before the fight unraveled during fight week. The latest twist followed Danis revealing the arm injury that pulled him from the Perry matchup.

Danis responded by calling Diaz a “human punching bag” and claimed Diaz had turned down more than one seven-figure offer to fight him. He also threatened a trip to Stockton and dragged Nick Diaz into the reply.
