Dillon Danis Speculates Conor Is Better Grappler Than Khabib!

BJJ Superstar Dillon Danis Exaggerates The Notorious’ Grappling Skills

Dillon Danis is Conor McGregor’s grappling partner and one of the best BJJ competitors ever. You have to progress when you train with such a legend. Khabib Nurmagomedov Vs Conor McGregor is expected to be the collision of an awesome striker and legendary grappler. But listen to this! Dillon Danis believes Conor McGregor might be better on the ground! (via MMAMania.com)

”Conor could beat Khabib in a grappling match,” Danis told Ariel Helwani on Helwani’s MMA Show. “I think if you put them in a grappling match like ADCC, I think people would be surprised. Conor is a special athlete. The way he moves his body. He has the ability to move in certain ways and make passes and stuff. He’s a really good athlete.”

As well as you know, Conor McGregor defeated Mendes at UFC 189 with an ease. Yet, Dillon Danis says Chad Mendes is a better wrestler than Khabib.

”Chad Mendes is a better wrestler than Khabib,” he said. “What credentials does Khabib have in wrestling? Maybe in sambo. Chad Mendes was second in NCAA.”

Dillon Danis believes Conor should only try to stay away from the ground game. Well, it is easy to talk. But rejecting such a strong man like Khabib is a very difficult task. Dillon also mentioned Michael Johnson’s performance.

“Michael Johnson caught Khabib,” Danis said simply. “Michael Johnson is not at the level that Conor is.”

Dillon Danis is hoping to improve his 1-0 Bellator score. He fights only a week after Conor McGregor and comes off with a victory over Kyle Walker in April.

“That’s what we’re aiming for,” he said. “We’ve talked about dates, we just haven’t talked about names. I haven’t decided yet.”

Do you think Dillon Danis is a bit unrealistic? After all, Sambo is a grappling martial art. Khabib Nurmagomedov knows Judo and freestyle wrestling too!
