Dennis Hallman isn’t fighting in tomorrow’s UFC, so watch his 15-year-old son armbar a 21-year-old

Dennis Hallman, Y U try to make lightweight? The last time that I know of Dennis Hallman making lightweight he was fighting Jens Pulver for the UFC lightweight title at UFC 33. Yep, that UFC 33, where the PPV was kicked off the air because every friggin’ fight went to an unprecedentedly boring decision. That was 2001. Now Hallman has missed the lightweight mark again, ten months after he missed weight at UFC 140 (he still won). Thiago Tavares offered up a catchweight bout at three pounds over, but Hallman just couldn’t do it. He just couldn’t. Damn. Fight scrapped.

Luckily for us we are not without Hallman action this week. Dennis Hallman’s son, Riley, is a mere fifteen years old, but he isn’t afraid to take on an opponent who is not only more physically mature than him, but possibly more worldly. This doesn’t matter when you have the Hallman armbar genes though. Not even a little.

UPDATE: Dennis Hallman doesn’t work at the UFC anymore.

Another update: According to MMAjunkie, Dennis Hallman was paid his show and win money and then released from the UFC.

“I am on my way home,” “I have some serious personal family matters that I am dealing with.”

Thanks to Zach Lambert for the find!
